I second this wholeheartedly. ASX needs to change its regulations to require any appendix with details to be summarized.
No one has time to count up hundreds of line items to reach a total. Very few people will know what the former shareholding was. The point of regulations should be to make this information accessible *AT A SUMMARY LEVEL* to the small investor who lacks the time.
The current system is allowing the reporters to intentionally render the reports obscure. Reporters know this defect favors them, so they create these overly detailed reports and use small fonts that are impossible to read anyway. It's like they are spitting on the ASX and spitting on the small investor. It's the worst form of bureaucracy, where you go through the motions of filing paper, but no real information gets communicated in a usable form.
