I am no expert on ASX rules about share buybacks. What I will point you to, is the share buyback announcements they make to the ASX. For example, in today's announcement under section 5, it says "Highest price allowed under rule 7.33: 13.9 cents". I take that to mean that 13.9 cents is fair game for a stock buy back, at least as of yesterday. As the VWAP goes up to 13.5 cents, then the "Highest price allowed under rule 7.33" will go up to 14.175 cents.
So if I am right, then BRL can buy shares at 14 cents and be well within the ASX rules. I am willing to bet that they will buy at 14 cents in the next few days.
