Due to the CR leaving the stock on paper as a losing position for a number of holders. A number of people will sell it in the short term to reduce their realised profit based taxes.

If I was the CEO, I would seriously consider not making announcements when the price action would be muted due to the above reason.They will get better movement in price if they hold off any announcements until next week. From what have been reading it might be a little too early to have information for an announcement anyway.
