Sure, would be great if every listing on the ASX was vetted and policed. But the truth is, if investing in spec was easy, safe and legitimate, everyone on earth would be a billionaire. The vast, vast, vast majority of spec stocks on every exchange on earth go boom and take all the money with them. That's the thing I've realised. For every Cochlear, there are 250 other good, bad or mad ideas that explode. Each of these companies is audited, each of these companies has staff and headquarters, each of these companies has a CEO whose job it partially is to be positive and upbeat. Many, as we know, are run by cowboys.

When you can't trust the people, the industry news or the official company information, it's impossible to invest. What you're doing is gambling.

This is not to throw mud at any of you. We've all been burned. This is just what I've come to believe as an individual, which I'm sharing on a forum. Please feel free to ignore me, I'm not trying to be an arse.
