Because they are trading the stock in order to pay overheads and wages. Interesting to see they are one of the mob placing small Micky Mouse trades of one to a couple units at times. These trades are just an attempt to induce a desired trade outcome by bringing in unsuspecting retail.
Remember the markets are a level playing field. If only we could place a trade for $1 and not have to pay a brokerage for that. (Simply the ASX should ban this price discovery action as it is not a genuine buy or sell).
Unfortunately this is the cost of doing business, without instos able to influence the market and make easy money markets would not exist.
