I bet many public offer funds and others will sell down below the 5% so as to not display that they like the coal story. They do not want to be targeted or tagged as being anti ESG. They will use custodians to hide their continuing holdings below the 5% disclosure threshold. Less competition from buyers players into the hands of investor who see that road is not dead, just yet. See the article by Ticky Fullerton on coal fired power in Japan in the Financial Review a couple of days ago. Australian coal better than the stuff from some other countries which will replace Australian coal if the 'anti coal mob get their way.
