Cost base was calculated on the purchase price of your ALK shares, as ASM cost base was done proportionally as a % of your ALK holding.
So your cost base could be anything based on what you paid for ALK shares.
I'm not sure that holders who picked up ASM shares in the demerger had to wait 12 months from date of shares trading to pick up the 50% CGT discount either, if they held ALK for more than 12 months? Could be wrong about that though.....
