They fund businesses like in these situations. You don’t need to be that astute to work out their funding was not for an investment in ESR. They got paid to fund it and likely shorted it so didn’t lose on the selling down.
Do you invest this kind of $$ to immediately start selling down the following day? Unlikely.
Why wouldn’t have they been in the know before funding? If they did they wouldn’t have committed to the funding so this tells me they only ever had short term hold in mind. Nothing had changed or was announced after their funding to change their strategy or knowing anything that market didn’t.
This is my view on it. I am not saying I am right but makes sense to me and is how these brokers work. It is why so many shares get hammered when they come on board as they look to exit pretty quickly.
