Was the finale the huge cross trade in this past week?
The price sold at was at a premium to the days trading, done after-market as you highlighted to us all.
Thankyou
@bug1.
Appreciate very much the very valuable research you and others here share in this forum.
I say to my son- “ I never worry about the fish” (Tassal stock)
Even if is sold down, we receive 16c dividend per year atm & the reality is that this is such a solid and important company with decades of research and development and operations.
Solid & valuable— and aquaculture is very needed.
Tassal are the best , and very much number one in Australia.
(Just been shopping tonight and bought the salmon burgers including some at discount + de costi salt & pepper squid which always beautiful & great to have as keeps so well in the fridge for a few weeks. Since I’m posting, does anyone know who supplies Woolworths range Tasmanian salmon?)
If this stock gets cheaper at all it is an opportunity to buy longterm value.
Unfortunately, as I don’t want this to happen I don’t think — it would be vulnerable as a takeover target with so much development, incalculable with salmon and the development of own fish, & the bonus prawn operations and acreage now already paid for now through the past few years.
Shareholders are going to reap the rewards the next years.
Food inflation is real, farmed salmon stack up tremendously well esp with feed protein conversion & environmentally imo.
Global salmon production is important with notable disruption in Iceland at present with their local disease issues, plus higher feed prices and even difficulty sourcing fish feed an issue elsewhere atm in northern hemisphere.
Wild caught salmon is unsustainable.
And Tassal is a producer — with salmon at global record prices.
Kind regards & thankyou again
@bug1. Special thanks also to
@dabozza for very informative posts after your big tour of Australias aquaculture operations including the asx listed companies.
