Firstly I am talking about stock prices here..... The more we move to AI based algo trading the more we move the markets into a combined state of symbiosis. A heaving mass that exists only in cyberspace is twerked this way and that as each move takes place and its effect ripples through the great mire as the other players all try to reach their own(SIC) state of equilibrium. Every now and again there is an imbalance caused by a real world event, not just software doing some wiggle watching, an actual change in a company or market that changes value, this causes prices to move outside the square, this phenomenon is easily detected by reviewing the chart.
