The way I see it, we're on a "Stock Exchange". We (the Company and it's owners incl. me) should be able to dictate what our shares are used for, whether it be for basic trading or more exotically in shorts, longs, "whatevers". I dislike the manipulation that comes with that part of the game. People playing with my investments can GAGF'd!
Maybe the BOD of every company could create a second class of shares, specifically created for shorts/longs/derivatives/whatever (don't care) and let the fools go silly on that board. Then we'd see who the serious types were.
I know I am a bit old-fashioned, but blatant manipulation is not ethical!
