    A share price can't reflect objective merit. Keep it real. If that were the case you'd always pay a fixed amount per share (IPO) and rely on dividends as income.
    Perceived merit is subjective and so price will adjust accordingly. You look like a long term holder so you would not be concerned so much. You've probably done well.
    Share price control? Like when directors pump out garbage news just before a capital raise?

    Investors look to liquid markets. Companies base their listing exchange on this too. That comes with the big players, bots, rampers etc.

    At the end of the day, someone made a decision to sell at the price the buyer wanted. No gun to their head.
