Hi @h00ts - have seen this Ministerial waffle posted a number of times before - it is a litany of platitudes and dismissiveness.
It serves no purpose whatsoever in addressing the concerns of said HFT 'practice' other to brush it off as 'nothing to see here'.
That was 2010 - nothing has changed and I have no doubt that the ASX and ASIC will continue to do nothing, as has been evident with the Minister's (then) 'proposed changes'.
As for a Parliamentary Committee, that ain't gonna happen within the forseeable!
