I wonder when they 'lend' out shares to shorters, does that constitute a 'safe' and hence requiring a 'ceasing to be a substantial holder' announcement ?
If so, it means the shorts have now sold the borrowed stock, taken position and will need to buy back eventually. They either buy at lower pricing and return the borrowed shares, or they foolishly hold, eventually the market turns probably on the next BMX result, ultimately forcing them to cover their shorts and propelling the share price even further.
