Ok, I admit some of my posts on the Regal substantial shareholder notice did not age well.
With both Regal and BoA no longer being substantial shareholders, the best indication of their trading will be the Top 20 notices posted on the company website.
At 11 May, Regal held 46.6 million shares with Merrill Lynch, 12 million with JP Morgan and 13.9 million with HSBC (substantial shareholder notice).
Between 11 May and 15 May Regal sold 7 million shares.
At 15 May, 43.5 million shares were held with Merril Lynch and 17.1 million were held with HSBC (Top 20 Shareholders).
Between 15 May and 25 May Regal sold another 10.4 million shares.
At 25 May, Regal held 37.2 million shares with Merrill Lynch, 12 million with JP Morgan and 5.9 million with HSBC (substantial shareholder notice).
On 26 May, Regal sold another 9.3 million shares.
Therefore, I'm expecting the Merril and HSBC shares to have decreased by around 19.7 million combined on the next Top 20 (expected shortly after 31 May). If they have declined by more than this, then REgal/BoA have continued selling this week.
I am not aware why the 12 million JP Morgan shares on Regal's substantial shareholder notice does not show up on the Top 20 list. Any suggestions anyone?
I also note that BoA was actually buying, not selling on Friday. Not large quantities, but still buying.
