I disagree. Ethical choices are always a part of investing. How we spend and invest our money is in part a statement on how we live and what we want the world to be like.
There are some areas of investment I refuse to go into for moral grounds - arms manufacturers, meat and dairy producers (I am a vegan) and coal miners. However if people want to spend all weekend on the piss and spend all their money on pokies and the roulette table then be my guest, so I hold SGR now and have held pub and booze seller companies like EDV in the past.
