Why would they not cut and run?
Short answer: for all the same reasons they launched this nonsense to begin with. Plus, it's what they've indicated publicly following the EGM. Unfortunately while unsuccessful they did still receive enough support to give them confidence.
I'll definitely stay on the sidelines while they are still circling.
