But small companies that have revenue and a business model/product that can be improved over time often find a way. Those that don't are typically capital intensive and debt laden like Telcos.
Appen has top of market margins if you take crowd costs out and A.I needs data and companies able to provide a service. So it's a matter of constant process improvement to service the undeveloped A.I market.
Yes, Big Tech can do itself and bla bla - but SME's can not and they will need A.I to compete in future.
