And why do they do it when it is an illegal practice? Because they CAN and the ASX will do nothing about it. Small investors, which represent a significant percentage of the population, are losing out to the 'big cowboys' who have the where with all to manipulate whatever stock they see fit. Market manipulation and short selling is rife and the regulators should be brought to task and take action instead of pandering to these cowboys.
