What does anything you say have to do with shorts? Absolutely nothing. Per usual you can only come up with insults and not a single thing I am wrong about.
Truly shows your depth of knowledge and maturity level.Cost of production went down but only when measured as total cost. When measured as cost / KG it rose substantially I have shown math several times already. When they start Deprecating KAL and Lamp improvements it will go up substantially Read the AR nots to see what is being depreciated now. Stop relying on others DYOR Here is data again, I use data from Q4 reports it does not match ARs exactly but I never see it very more than a couple of %
2024 cost of sales AUD 331M / tons of RE produced 1068 KG = $ 31 / KG
2023 cost of sales AUD 400M / tons of RE produced 16800KG = $23 / KG
2022 cost of sales AUD 348 M / tons of RE produced 15970 KG = $21.8 / KG
Yes some of this is caused by lower volume but not all.
I do believe that Lynas is working hard to lower cost, every good company does. Anybody that thinks cost will be lower in next few years is just dreaming, They are about to go up a lot. AT KAL solvents energy labor and depreciations will all go up. They did not use any KAL output at lamp in FY2024 I believe this was to prevent any of these cost from showing up in the 2024 AR. KAL will be the most dramatic of all of these but higher depreciation supplies and energy will hit all areas including MW Lamp PDF. They need to squeeze out every penny they can but cost will go up. Any one that has any knowledge of corporate finance can see this approaching. It is you that does not understand not the regulators. Shorts help stabilize stocks. They short when stocks go up moderating the highs they cover when the stock goes down regulating lows. When a stock gets totally out of control like Lynas is right now with a PE of 76 when the ASX 200 is just over 20 they short like crazy thus exercising some control. Why should not people that think that a stock is way too high not have same opportunity as those who think it is way too low? Just because you do not like shorters because they do clip some of the tops does not mean they should be banned. JMO the regulators have more experience, data, and education about finance than you ever will. So why do you think you know more? No major exchange in the world banes shorting yet you think you know more than all those regulators.
