    JPMorgan Chase are playing silly buggers with LYC shares. Lending them out, getting them back, encouraging short-selling, and generally being a PITA.

    They, along with State Street, Apollo, and others, are continually holding back any improvement in the SP by shorting it back down every time it looks like starting to improve.

    They then cover the shorts either off-market or via bots that can shift hundreds of thousands of shares without moving the market price more than a cent or two. That way we don't see much in the way of short-covering runs like we did in the old days.

    IMHO, short selling should be banned - but then I've been saying this for about 30 years or so....
