Unfortunately Macca and all the large investment banks are full serviced house. Pretty sure when you engage their service, they will throw their 3 inch thick contract with all the T&Cs that you have to accept, which I am sure will include clauses where they disclose other parts of the company may act on behalf of other clients which may be in conflict, about chinese walls, blah blah. Whether we like it or not, I don't think the company was spoilt for choices when it came to debt financing. As the old saying goes, beggars can't be choosers.
Anyway, by next Friday noon, we should find out whether the shorts have been substantially covered with the exit taking effect this Friday after close.
