Yeah depending on the nature of the transaction will depend on how its registered by the look of it. In regards to normal trading which is registered by the ASX it is mostly carried out by retail although if there are times when big Funds will trade which can be seen by many numbers of the same amount of shares say 20,000-30,000 being traded in a relatively short period of time. If a big Fund wants out or wishes to sell down or buy in then it looks like if they find another Fund to do the deal with it doesn't get registered on the normal trading platform. This is all speculation on my part. I'm no expert in this field (to say the least) and if there is someone out there with this type of knowledge maybe they could educate us mere mortals.
