Many years ago, when I was at Uni studying Finance, I remember one of our professors prepared an exam that had only one question. The question reads as follows “Is market efficient and why?”
Obviously, the answer was and still is NO. However, I did not really understand at the time until I came to the real world and witnessed price action like this.
Today there was no news from the group, but the price action was remarkable. This is a classic example of inefficient market. Price action like this makes you think that someone somewhere knows something you do not know. Or it could be the usual driver (fear and greed) driving the price action while the company is having business as usual day.
I personally believe that fear and greed were behind the price action in this case. So, I decided to buy some good size shares which makes around 25% of my portfolio size.
