I have an apt vulgar analogy, however for a G rated version, "All it takes is 1 robber!" (replace robber with another "r" word).
My memory may be poor and this definitely is not EMR related, however re substantial and non-substantial holdings... I don't recollect "Black Rock" or "Vanguard"... Always State Street cause the SP tanks after (too many other companies to have seen this trend)... I do recollect, Citi and JP, can go either way... But with State Street, "down, down" until they are gone! Good news when they are gone, bad news when they appear*...
It's a pro and con, our profile is relatively low, our register is/was fairly tight(?)...
P.S. The graph, "being" a numbers man"... < 1% to > 4% is > 400% increase!Look at the top shorted stocks, wk to wk percentage change may not be much, but the damage wk to wk can be massive...
*Now if we all become traders and start dumping when State Street appear, works to their benefit as well (our disadvantage due to the reporting delay)... Where are our regulators?
