Just a short comment on Viburnum, I am confident that the shares were picked up by Cosette's agents (we will probably see that crossed transaction from the buyer on Monday) and furthermore, for me, it reduces the probability that another bidder will come forward as Viburnum would know details of the negotiations, as the last Board appointee was theirs. I hope I am wrong.
Why have they sold now? Probably time value of money or better opportunity in the short term. How were they convinced that $7.4 was a good offer? The conspiracist in me says that because the buyer is not publicly listed, additional incentives (don't have to be declared) could have been promised to Viburnum and BM (and possibly the Chairman).
I have been scrutinising the Substantial Holding declarations, more on that later, but the combined agents that have come forward so far, had about 6-7% holding in the company (all staying below the 5% reportable limit) before the offer was made and a lot of those shares were acquired in 2024. So they have been stalking the register for 6-12 months and possibly keeping a lid on SP over that period.
