The majority have a very dim view of the mining sector but are fully onboard with solar panels, wind turbines yet forget how copper gold silver iron coal are extracted to make all these nice to haves for clean energy. I think most are happy enough for these essentials to be mined by child labor in Africa to make an EV rather than western nations being a bit more humane in its treatment of African laborers and putting some coin back into the native communities via the building of schools etc supporting locals. The majority of EV's on the market are made with child labor unfortunately but it is slowly changing.
