worked for an investment manager for years, $8bn isnt even 4% of the FUM we held......$8bn - good luck to them surviving.....esp with PTM that has shrunk into irrelevance, bleeding client fum each month - just like mfg....high fees, zero alpha.
point was, why dump so hard and so fast (the trigger rationale) - thats what concerns me......the table was to demonstrate the incremental growth in their position over time, only to crystalise such a massive lo$$ on 3 consecutive dayz with no sophistication about it - just dump with 37%, 35% then 52% of the daily volume to get out of their overall position in both haste and at any cost.....
their funds performance can choke for all i care.....
