For anyone still confused about the recent dump, the Form 605 lodged confirms it, JPMorgan Chase is no longer a substantial holder in Boss Energy as of 24 July. The filing shows they were reducing over a period of time through a mix of on-market trades, securities lending, and derivative activity. It wasn’t one big sale, it was a steady unwind. And now they’re officially off the register. That kind of institutional exit explains the intense pressure we’ve seen on the chart lately. Doesn’t mean the story has changed fundamentally, but it does mean we had a big seller dumping into the market, and that weight is now (hopefully) out of the way. Sometimes these filings hit after the worst is done. Now that the overhang is cleared, we’ll see if BOE can find its base and attract buyers back in.
