Are you kidding? Now is not the time to go short IMO, now is the time for the brave to have a nibble! WAX WAM and WAA all have alot of cash on hand, waiting for these kind of corrections. I'd trust my funds in Wilson LICs ahead of any shorts, trying to pick the bottom. When things bounce, they bounce hard, and you'll miss the bottom. I like to buy slowly on the way down, which is why I have spare cash from CDM oppies converted and sold.
Look at ALF's market update, they do best in these kind of markets.
You might be right for now, markets are nervous, but value is appearing, and I'd be punting on the fact these LICs have outperformed any MAN funds, or short funds in the long term. Maybe if you have a crystal ball, you might do well!
