Its not like rock chip sampling where they pick up only the shiny rocks and then report crazy extrapolated grades from little chips.
they are basically cutting a surface hugging continuous channel, so its more like a 'horizontal' drill result. So its legit with the proviso that we dont know the vertical extent of the mineralization yet.
This isnt a placer deposit (gold washed from somewhere in ancient times) so its not just a surface deposit. Its some outcropping from an intrusion.
Looking thru some earlier reports, they also did some 'underground' channel cuts in historical adits (old mine tunnels basically) that were 10m from surface, so we can hope that the vertical extent of these extremely high grades goes at least that deep.
Its high margin stuff in this area, being super high grade at surface.
