    I agree with everything you say here, and I'm very stoked about this company.

    But for everyone hoping this tech could pave the way for repair of spinal cord injuries please don't get too excited.

    Peripheral nerves and central nerves are very different beasts. Peripheral nerves will regenerate, as long as they can find their way to connect back to the rest of the nerve. For completely severed nerves this is an issue, but OCC appears to offer a scaffold to let them find their way.

    Central neurons, like those in the spinal cord, do not regenerate, so a scaffold would theoretically not help.

    Still epic technology, but just wanted to throw some reality out there.

    Also rotator cuff injuries are legitimately a huge issue for some elderly people, who can't hang laundry or shower themselves due to this, and there's really nothing you can do to help many of them. Any tech that would alleviate this would be a gold mine.
