Tsuba, as someone worked in the pharmaceutical industry before, Im surprised everyone here, esp rickii78, once top 20 shareholders, are generally highly optimistic about the prospect of midkine.
If midkine is such a good drug target, it will be highly sought after by many big pharma, MK agonist or antagonist will have no trouble finding collaborator or even the whole company being bought over, this is generally how this industry behaves, big pharma have their department that actively looking for acquisition target.
The biggest problem with midkine, as we all know, is that it works on different part of body, give different wonderful therapeutic effect... however, this make it a very “dirty" drug and maybe a drug target that difficult to control and quantify. High risk venture on MK, no doubt.
Rickii78 is eager for MK to be trialed and quickly come out with miracle drug.....but that will be conflict with what he said, the cash burn will even greater, today we are 10cents, if we pursue MK alone with full force, our share price would be 0.1 cents? Market cap may still be $10M, but we had CR so many freaking time, that, 0.1cents will be the norm, and still need more than 10 years with high risk of failure, plus zero income plus Maria extravagant spending... i just dont know how things can work out with his recommendation.... maybe he is smarter than Maria, to the point becoming top 20 shareholders.. lol
I will buy CDY again whent its share price push above 15cents, and I rather buy it at 15 cents, than now 9 cents, that my 2 cents.
