In January 84,672 bottles of these Jo-Ju products were sold through OHM for $530K, which represented average revenue of $6.26 per unit.
At this QVC event 80,595 bottles were sold for $1.38M, representing an average of $17.12 per unit.
So if a $6.26 unit price allows a worthwhile profit then $17.12 certainly should.
For the last couple of years the Japan business has been operating on a gross margin of 70%. A large portion of its revenue has resulted from QVC sales. On that basis about $1.0M of gross profit should derive from this event.
