What many fail to grasp is that Cellmid provides an ANTIBODY test. Current hospitals generally test for ANTIGENS (through methods like a nasal swab). A patient would only develop COVID-19 ANTIBODIES after contracting the COVID-19 virus (Hence COVID-19’s ANTIGEN).

Here's a little background, an ANTIBODY is something your body creates to combat various ANTIGENS. Most if not all of us would have several types of ANTIBODIES stored in our immune system to combat the seasonal flu. We can only acquire these ANTIBODIES through either contracting the flu's ANTIGEN naturally by getting sick (and hopefully recovering), or through vaccinations (which is a small harmless dose of a specific virus' ANTIGEN injected in your body to trigger the creation of ANTIBODIES - that way if you contract the virus naturally in the future, your body is already prepared with the specific ANTIBODY to combat the virus - a.k.a making you IMMUNE). Either way, we NEED to have the ANTIGENS in our body first in order for our body to trigger a defensive mechanism to produce ANTIBODIES.

That is why ANTIBODY tests are not as accurate as ANTIGEN tests during the first few days, because it takes time for our bodies to produce ANTIBODIES in response to a particular ANTIGEN.

Going forward, ANTIBODY & ANTIGEN testing will be pivotal for governments to separate those that are immune from those that are not. There are serious talks already for COVID-19 passports and certification to prove herd immunity and safety of travel. Where those that are immune can travel freely and those that are not cannot. Using both tests will allow governments to place everyone in categories.

For example, the four possible categories could be:

    1) Immune: Positive for ANTIBODY & Negative for ANTIGEN
    2) Not Immune (currently sick): Positive for ANTIBODY & Positive for ANTIGEN
    3) Not Immune (early infection): Negative for ANTIBODY & Positive for ANTIGEN
4): Not Immune (not exposed): Negative for ANTIBODY & Negative for ANTIGEN

Therefore, despite initial import figures not living up to the expectation of most, and despite sales not progressing as swift as many would like. Antibody tests kits will have a very important role to play in the future, and CDY is primed to take advantage of the situation fully given the recent announcements.

    Also,
top US scientists are struggling to produce an antibody test because theirs "confuse the coronavirus causing the current pandemic with one of several coronaviruses that cause the common cold".

And what does Cellmid have access to? Functional and proven antibody tests by Wondfo.

For those that don’t know, Wondfo was the first company in China to have their antibody tests accredited and approved for domestic and international use. Wondfo (SHE: 300482) is also a listed entity and has a market capital of 26.59B.

PS: Of all the fourteen TGA approved companies to supply ANTIBODY tests (yes there are only fourteen because the others test are for ANTIGENS), Cellmid is by far the most prominent and approachable in terms of publicity, contact details, and availability.

Best of luck everyone and DYOR - and remember - down ramping to ACCUMULATE is a thing.
