ok. Let me clarify few key concepts of antibody testing for vaccines. its checked routinely to check efficacy of vaccines like hepatitis vaccine, varicella etc
and its a blood test done in authorised labs to check quantitative titre of antibody to asses immunity response to vaccine. Quantitative because if antibodies start to fall after a certain level then it shows the host is no longer immune- and sometimes needs repeat booster doses.
the immunity/ antibodies after for example influenza flu shot starts to fall and fall by 50% after 6 months and last 10-12 months and that’s why you need a vaccine every year.
and how we measure it is by measuring the titre aka quantity of antibodies by sophisticated blood analysis in lab.
So, a point of care positive/ negative test with low sensitivity has absolutely NO USE in these analysis.
