Hello. To explain my post further, as i wrote elsewhere. somewhere (oh, on the ATT thread), the PUA (handheld) auger drill results on all PUA prospects have only averaged around 3 to 4 metres deep; where as in Brazil, in clay, companies such as MEI & VMM reached 10 to 12 metres with auger drills. A geo suggested to me the shallow PUA auger drill results could possibly be for one of two reasons: (i) hitting the water table for the alluvial (stream) holes; and (ii) hitting what is called a "laterite duricrust" layer for the residual soil holes, which would be the "ferruginous layer" in the DYR photo below. This laterite layer can be relatively too hard for the hand auger drill to penetrate. Possibly DY6 are simply using better equipment because SVM averaged 12 metres deep with their auger drilling.
