I was going to post something around lunch and to be honest and I thought why bother if those without doing any real number crunching or research are quick to dismiss it as normal trading.
Yesterday's market sensitive announcement whom you and many others think is worth many millions of dollars might as well be news from 2 months ago such is the lack of interest and volume today. I'll tell you why. Anytime we get any decent announcement over the last 2 years the sales and patterns are almost identical. Its sold down and the sell side gets stacked once any type of momentum subsides and the seller always regains back control. The moves to the upside are becoming less and less and the liquidity is being removed from this stock as even the best-researched investors know that its not going to run too far from its trading range from the last 2 years.
There was some really obvious moves yesterday as detailed, we were getting some good volume and it was ticking up nicely from .73 and the next buy line was .74. Then we had around 250k shares dropped into the sell side at .72 and a heap of orders filled and then we had around 1 million shares dropped in at .73 and some more at .74. Some of .073 got chipped away at but it took the momentum out of any upward movement pretty quickly. I worked out it was roughly $30k worth of shares that pulled up any momentum and around 140k worth of shares that have been loaded into the sell side to build a fairly solid wall at .073 and .074. Whoever is responsible was happy to loose around 2 million shares if the momentum kept going but the buy side lost interest and today with the walls there its a ghost town.
This cycle has been on repeat for 2 years now so if you think it's just accumulation over that period of time then its a bloody marathon effort and a lot of risk to keep accumulating for a few pips here and there.
My opinion on this doesn't change in that I think we are being controlled for an acquisition once all the risk is mitigated and mines are ready to roll. I Can't be in Brisbane but if I could I would ask the directors about the trading patterns and let them put their opinions forward on it, they've been buying and I'm sure one of them would take interest in how strange it all is.
Only time will prove me right and I will be happy to apologize to those who doubted me if I'm proven incorrect. You also know how many shares I own as in previous years we've discussed my thoughts over email and I'll be as happy as anyone to be proven wrong because it will mean I'm rich

I am in your camp.
Mum & Dad investors will never get to share in the opportunity of this reaching its potential.
I also think the gold play is a distraction for a company that has remunerated its management very very well over a long period of time and who were entrusted to bring PB on line....
Not get distracted by diversifying into other "little gems" within 5 minutes of the cash started to flow into the coffers.
