step 3 is the crucial mistake. For crying out aloud they could have hedged oil at $100. That's why we have futures mkts.
STO need a COMPLETE outsider. Someone with no allegiance to board members. Think Coles, Qantas and a host of turnaround companies. But don't get a meglomaniac like AMP did.
