Boards get told things all the time.. Even as crazy as the CEO is a coke head (How many CEO's on the ASX are Coke heads... More than you would care to think).

Maybe there was an error in judgement on their part to not lean on GB harder if this was actually presented to the board. Which I doubt it ever went through an appropriate channel to warrant investigation... Bill Lark certainly denies any knowledge of it.

The board would also have to consider if the "warning" was malicious and inaccurate, and they did get him to stand down, then there's a defamation case coming their way if they ousted GB and couldn't substantiate it. Its a bit damned if you do and damned if you don't.....
It is very easy in hindsight knowing what we know now... Other than not knowing that GB once used meth (that is what we assume was in the pipe, and we only have proof of one occasion). Is there anything else that the board has done to cause concern....

Image this scenario, and its just hypothetical... Person A and GB have a heated disagreement over the strategy for Lark... The board is aware of this disagreement.... 3 weeks later Person A warns the board that GB is a substance abuser... Does the board take it seriously? Dont believe all you see and read sometimes there's more to the story, and sometimes the story stops at the source and it is really as simple as that.

There is only one fact that we can substantiate, the video, and that GB appears to have lied about the time and place... Other than that there are a lot of unknowns.

New board member is good news. Expecting new CEO soon, this will be good also. Don't want a 100% new board as too much knowledge of the people in the business and culture etc is lost...
