I agree, this has been poorly managed. The fact that the board decision was unanimous is somewhat telling though. I don't know the guy obviously but it could be that the CEO is a real prick to work with despite his success (a la Steve Jobs) and doubled down on this now he is leaving to the annoyance of everyone, or got embroiled in some scandal that is being hushed up. It could be that the board are a bunch of bullies. Who knows?
I am sure that the people at the AFR or Financial Times or whatever are getting their mitts into this and we will find out soon enough.
