He seems to have more experience than the previous guy. How he was paid to be a MD and then given short term incentives whilst he hadn't done anything (still waiting on the DFS review) he gets a pay out.
This board seems to hand out money as if they are made of it - is that their game plan? Do nothing to accelerate the project but just keen raising capital to pay directors and management?
Whoever approved the last guy, for him to last six months should get a reduction in their directors fees. The lack of info found on his professional career always made him seem like an unlikely candidate, but given the job no less.
Russell is getting well paid and then he is getting additional $300,000 bonus for commencement of construction of the project - I would have thought this was the expectation on taking the role, not receiving a bonus (unless their was a strict timeframe) and then he gets another $300,000 bonus when it starts commissioning.
Oh and then from then on can receive 60% of normal wage as a bonus each year, for yet to be stipulated hurdles.
