My point was really that hiring somebody like this means they are not as concerned about perception and political correctness, but rather results. In particular, somebody who is closer to the where the future of the company lies (US and Europe).
I am certain that other tech firms recognise and know this company, but ultimately it is what CAT can do to grow fast which will increase their profile. I am pretty sure Mark Cuban would agree, although it looks like he has dropped out of the top 20 shareholders.
