Easy to be cynical, and that's not a crack, but as with recent announcements, I get the impression of momentum building.

There is a definite and sustained shift in focus to marketing/promotion/distributorships and hence sales. This shift in focus wouldn't be possible if they didn't think they had the capacity to manufacture in volumes required to be profitably sustainable.

Thus the statement that "Colt is reviewing the production engineering and tooling requirements to manufacture MAUL, and to assess any cost engineering that needs to be completed," suggests to me at least that substantial work has already been done. Reading between the lines, seems to me there are a few word missing here - They are reviewing engineering requirements and assessing any ADDITIONAL cost engineering that needs to be done.....in order to commence production.

This is reinforced by the comparison to Remington shotgun sales figures, plus cost per round of MAUL ammo, which is the first time EVER, that we have been given any idea of market size and revenue potential for any MST product.

That "Both companies are working towards a positive outcome," is icing. Colt would not allow that to be said if it were not true.

With additional distributorships to come, again indicating confidence in ability to meet manufacturing and sales demands, the next few months promise some interesting developments. Has our time finally come?
