You are probably correct.
Some see it as Athan as seeing the light on his road to Damascus. But that is far too simple and highly unlikely.
More likely to be a softening up for things to come - major departures and/or board shake-up or CR or both.
Very telling that the letter used the word 'if' as in 'if Lenze is a success' rather than 'after' or something else more positive. Clearly they have no idea whether it will be commercially successful or not. So I wouldn't expect any revenue here any time soon. So where, with ADRC protocol dead, will the revenue come from?
