Agree most investors cut their winners too early and hold their losers too long. However, I just took 10% of my ASB holding off the table at the 12 month high on the day's opening to double my holding in Woodside at a 12 month low. ASB then went down 4% and WDS up 1.5% at close. Re-balancing usually works to improve overall portfolio performance while lowering volatility...
