On Saturday morning 27 November 2021, the MYR Melbourne CBD store was really buzzing by 1045 AEDT, as was the Melbourne CBD. It wasn't just 'Black Friday' shopping but by 1300 AEDT another huge demonstration against Dictator Dan's Victorian Labor-Greens unjustified Emperor-like draconian 'pandemic laws' that give him further powers loved by despots.
On the MYR fifth floor - homewares - there were steady streams of shoppers purchasing 'Black Friday' offers for items such as Krosno glassware, frypans, cutlery sets and appliances.
Staff seemed to be coping even though the purchasing was constant, with many larger items needing slow, careful placement in a 15 cent plastic bag.
There's a two day lag in what comparison site Alexa discloses but by Thursday 25 November (which could be USA time: not sure), the MYR site had climbed to #100 in Australia by visitation numbers, the first time I've observed such a good ranking for it.
