We wouldn't need to be bright to conclude there's pressure on retailers and couriers prior to Christmas, given the swing to more online shopping as a percentage of all purchases. (MYR's figure was c.20.5 per cent in FY 21).
I ordered a reasonably heavy item a week ago and have only had an email saying it's being 'prepared'.
Competitors such as WES' Catch, David Jones, KMart, KGN, TPW and Big W will be in the same boat.
