Fosicking is good fun blossom you should get out more. Within an hour of my house you can find Obsidian, chalcedony, Carnelian, Petrified Wood, Jasper, Agate and Serpentine. I started gemstone cutting at 7 years old and selling Jewellery at 10 years old. I could make you a nice pair of earrings blossom. Gympie and Warwick is the nearest gold to me and with gold prices so high now they are having a look at these old gold towns to do commercial mining again.
