I would actually say that breaking into the Chinese market initially is a lot harder than ramping up once you already have some stores and the green light from the PRC, Victor has already done the heavy lifting with his past experience and networks from the Zara expansion.
I don't know enough about the incoming to CEO to comment on his ability, but to claim the China growth story is dead because the current CEO is leaving is a bit extreme.
